Cannes Lions invites Hugo Veiga to join the Dan Wieden Titanium Lions jury

Chief Creative Officer AKQA Hugo Veiga has been invited to participate in the Cannes Lions Dan Wieden Titanium Lions jury, celebrating game-changing creativity that breaks new ground in branded communications.
The Dan Wieden Titanium Lions honours projects that challenge the status quo with provocative, boundary pushing and inspiring work. The winning projects redefine what’s possible in advertising and recognise the visionaries who are shaping the future of storytelling.
Whilst at AKQA, Hugo has been honoured with three Cannes Lions Grand Prix which included an Engagement Lion for Nike’s Air Max Graffiti Stores, an Entertainment Lion for Baco Exu do Blues’ Bluesman and a Craft Lion for Nike’s Never Done Evolving. He has also received Grammy nominations, Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas, Best Ad by Time Magazine, as well as the iconic UNICEF Human Rights Seal.
Hugo said: “In 2013, I had the honour of receiving the Titanium Grand Prix from Dan Wieden himself. Serving as a juror in the category that now bears his name is both a privilege and a profound responsibility. AKQA has always been a future-focused company, and I’m looking forward to diving into the work that made our industry pause and rethink the path ahead.”
In 2014, Hugo co-founded AKQA Casa in São Paulo. The multi-award winning studio has since become a creative force, collaborating with innovative brands like Netflix, TikTok and Nike, as well as iconic artists such as Usher, Elton John and Lady Gaga. The studio’s impact has been widely recognised, earning accolades such as WPP’s Happiest Office in the World and Cannes Lions Latin America Agency of the Year.
