The Pink Chip Index, the world’s first to track the financial performance of women-led companies, is revolutionising market bias and demonstrating the power of female leadership. Launched on International Women’s Day at the Euronext stock exchange with UN Women NL, the index showcases how companies with women CEOs consistently outperform market averages. This compelling performance illustrates the strength of female leaders and their ability to drive successful business results.

Within two weeks of its launch on DEGIRO, Europe’s largest investing platform, the index attracted over 14,500 new investors and saw a 6.7 per cent increase in the share price of its constituent companies. This momentum has continued, with the index climbing a further 9.48 per cent and outperforming key market benchmarks, further solidifying the investment case for women-led businesses.

UN Women applauds the Pink Chip initiative, which will lead to more awareness among investors of the true potential of women and spur investments in women-led companies.
